Meet Beck

I’ve spent my career helping people in various roles —as a social worker, conflict mediator, consultant, teacher, and administrator. Alongside that professional path, my personal journey has included being a spouse for 30+ years, a cancer caregiver,  being a foster and adoptive parent, and now a daughter with aging parents. I’ve walked through the challenges of divorce, parenting children with special needs, supporting a loved one with addiction, changing careers, moving across the country to "start over," and more.

These experiences, paired with over 30 years of studying and teaching human development and the Enneagram personality system, give me a deep understanding of how people grow, heal, and find resilience.

Coaching is a natural extension of my life’s work—it allows me to walk alongside others as they navigate their own challenges and create meaningful change.

Now happily rooted in Durango, Colorado, I enjoy hiking, biking, camping, skiing, being with dogs and horses, or simply being in nature. On quieter days, you’ll find me reading, writing, or exploring art and ideas that inspire growth.

Coaching is not for everyone....

Coaching is different than therapy.  I am a trained human developmentalist.  Human development is the branch of psychology dedicated to helping people successfully navigate life's developmental stages, focusing on improving well-being in our relationships, work lives, and in our understanding of ourselves.  Therapists are better  trained to help people dealing with more serious mental health problems such as depression, substance abuse, eating disorders, and trauma.  If you need a referral to a mental health therapist please ask!
